Additionally the Nursery arranges an open day in January when we welcome prospective parents to see a normal session ‘in action’.
Pupils are admitted to both Nursery and Reception in accordance with the policy of Herts County Council.
Nursery pupils can start in the September of the academic year in which they become 4 years old (the academic year runs from 1 September to 31 August).
The school now deals with Nursery applications internally. Applications can be made via the website. Dates for Nursery applications are available on the application page of the website.
Nursery pupils attend part time 15 hours per week (five sessions, each of three-hours, per day Monday-Friday inclusive).
If you wish to apply for a place during the school year, or transfer from another nursery, please contact the school office.
Reception pupils start in the September of the academic year in which they become 5 years old (the academic year runs from 1 September to 31 August).
Herts County Council will send parents a booklet about how to apply and the application process in early November.
Reception pupils attend full time from 1 September.
If you wish to apply for a place during the school year, or transfer from another school, please contact the school office.
After Allocation Day
During the summer term, following pupil allocations, you will receive a set of admission papers from the school for completion. You will also receive an invitation for your child to spend some time with their new class during July. Home visits are arranged for Nursery and Reception pupils.
Please do not hesitate to contact the school office if you have any further queries.
