PFA Update

Dear parents & carers,

We are fast approaching the end of the summer term and will be saying goodbye to the year 6s and welcoming lots of new children to the school!

We will also be saying goodbye to some PFA members. Sarah Banks, Kate Jolley and Helen Wallis will be greatly missed and we would like to thank them for their considerable hard work and we hope they know it’s all been worth it! We have appointed a new treasurer, Zainab Mohideen will be joining us in September and we would like to welcome her to the PFA.

The PFA would like to thank you for all your help and support throughout the year and with that help we have raised over £8000 for the school which is fantastic! The circus on it’s own brought in £1800 which is great especially seeing as it was something that we hadn’t tried before. We’ve also raised money through Happy Bags to school, discos, tuck shops, cake bakes, bingo night, pamper evening, abseil, it’s certainly been a busy year!

To carry on raising money we still need members to help us, the more people we have the easier it becomes to organise all these events, you don’t have to commit to coming to every meeting or even helping at every event. If you would like to become a more active member please come and speak to one of us or the office and we can tell you all you need to know!

The last event of the year is the summer concert, during which we are hoping to run a BBQ and a bar, however we still need helpers so please put your name down for a 30 minute slot if you can…….you will not miss the concert!

Lastly, there will be a raffle at the summer event, details of which will be coming out in book bags soon.

That’s it! Apologies for the long email but we really wanted to share the fantastic fundraising you’ve been involved in this year and say a big THANK YOU!!!
